THE STORY: Does it get any better than morning skies reflected in the windows of the Federal Aviation Administration building?
This early Spring morning, I walked with my wife and our sons toward the Smithsonian's Air & Space Museum when we passed the FAA.
Reflections often make for gorgeous photos. Think detail shots. You don't need the whole building represented in the photo, just this little piece that says so much about what takes place there.
We were on the shadow side of the building, which made everything perfect from a lighting perspective. No worries about it being too harsh. Perfect open shade.
I made this image fast. I had to. Such is the nature of traveling and photography when your children want to go see space ships at a museum.
